Amerigo Vespucci (9 March, 1454 – 22 February, 1512) was a Florentine cartographer, merchant and businessman who worked for the Medicis but "made [his] money through connections".

He was an old acquaintance of Zoroaster, as they grew up together in Peretola. According to him, "he's a fixer... and a fuck".

Leonardo da Vinci asks Vespucci for help on his quest to find the Book of Leaves, which he reasoned was on the New World. Vespucci helped him steal a slave ship, the Sentinel, who was comandeered by the Duke of Calabria. While da Vinci and Zoroaster braved the wilds of South America, Vespucci stayed on the ship to draw charts of the coastlines. He expressed his wish of naming the whole place after himself: "Vespuccia!"

When they returned to Florence, they found it had been sacked by the Duke of Urbino and his forces. Vespucci and Zoroaster released da Vinci and Carlo de' Medici from the Bargello, under the disguise of professional torturers. Vespucci and Zoroaster were later caught as rebels and were forced to fight each other to the Duke's amusement. When the Duke is killed by Clarice Orsini, Florence rejoices, and Vespucci celebrated with Zoroaster, Vanessa Moschella, and Niccolò Machiavelli.
